Tell-tale Signs Your Body isn’t Getting Enough Fuel

Fuel Your Mvmnt (keynote)

Your body doesn’t run on thin air.

That may sound like a common sense statement at first. “Duh, Lori. We all know the body doesn’t run on thin air.” But I think that, in practice, many times we don’t know it. Or we live like we don’t actually believe it.

How do I figure that? Well, I see a LOT of the following signs and symptoms in the people around me. And I’ve experienced plenty of them myself!

At different points in my life, I’ve been 14 out of 14. 🙁

What about you? Is your body telling you it’s not getting enough fuel?

Do you experience that afternoon slump with low energy, brain fog, and snacky cravings?

What about classic (but not normal!) PMS symptoms of being moody, irritable, and having painful cramps?

Do you wake up regularly between 2-4am and have trouble falling back asleep?

Are you chronically stiff or sore? Sick all the time?

Josh and Jeanne Rubin say that “at the root of all disease is a story. A life. An accumulation of time where everything you have been exposed to on a physical, emotional, physiological, and mental level matters.”

And that story shows up initially as the symptoms listed in the graphic above.

You can trace them each back to a metabolic deficiency — i.e. you’re not getting enough fuel.

And when your body doesn’t get enough fuel, it will MAKE fuel. This happens through a process called gluconeogenesis, which is a fancy way of saying your body eats itself. 😮

It’s a stressful, metabolically expensive process to convert the body’s tissues (like muscle or thymus) into glucose so the body can have fuel. It’s a back-up system that keeps you alive, but it’s not one that allows you to thrive.

It leads to a cascading string of chain reactions in the body that result in sleep issues, anxiety, thinning hair, low libido, constipation, and/or more.

This is why I include my Fuel Your Mvmnt™ training in every membership to my site.

I used to teach multiple fitness classes in one day, led an active lifestyle, and ruthlessly cut all sugar out of my diet thinking I was super healthy … but I wasn’t fueling the movement of my life.

And let’s be honest, no one experiences all the things listed above and actually feels healthy.

I’d love to walk alongside you on the journey to a well-fueled life.

This is where we can start
